There are a few steps to install a lamp and module, which are similar for every projector. First make sure the projector is unplugged and sitting on a flat surface. Then loosen the screw that holds the projector lamp module cover in place and remove the panel. Next unplug the old projector lamp and remove it from the projector. After which, you plug the new projector lamp securely in place. Lastly, attach the panel back onto the projector and tighten the screw. There is no difference between the 4 projector lamps for the Sony XL-5200 projector. All the bulbs are made by PHILIPS and are of the same quality. Either bulb will fit into your projector, except the Mitsubishi XL-5200, which may be different, since it's for a Mitsubishi projector.

This lamp comes complete with lamp and housing. It is a plug and play lamp, you remove the old lamp and slide this new lamp right into place. A ver easy installation and should take less than 5 minutes.

Yes, all of our lamps are easy to replace. Just follow these steps to replace the module and bulb. First, make sure the projector is unplugged and sitting on a flat surface. Then loosen the screw holding the projector lamp module cover in place and remove the panel. Next, unplug the old projector lamp and remove it from the projector. After which, you need to plug the new projector lamp securely into place. Lastly, attach the panel back onto the projector and tighten the screw. If you just want to replace the bulb or the bare bulb, follow these steps. First, follow steps 1-2 above. Then remove the retaining clip holding the old lamp in place. Next, unscrew the wires connected to the bare projector bulb. After which, replace the old lamp with the brand new replacement bulb and fasten the clip. Lastly, tighten the screws.
